SCENE NIGHTS
What: Our monthly program for new play development
Who: Open to all playwrights, $12 for Play Cafe members, $18 for non-members, free for high school and college students; we supply the services of 2 professional actors and a qualified facilitator. Interested playwrights are welcome to attend as observers– bringing a scene to read is not a requirement. There is no charge to attend without a script.
How: Bring up to 10 pages of properly-formatted script, with the major roles assigned to the actors, double-casting and using playwrights in attendance to help read other parts and stage directions.
Why: To hear how work-in-progress plays when read unrehearsed by professional actors, and to get feedback on how your play plays
When: every second Thursday of the month from 7pm-8:30pm Pacific Time and every third Tuesday from 2pm-3:30pm Pacific Time.
