ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Reading great writing is a joy in itself. Reading and seeing plays we love is part of what made us want to be playwrights. But in our busy creative lives, it’s easy to lose touch with the greats. (Didn’t I read that in college? Maybe I don’t want to admit that I never got around to reading that one?)
And now we’re in a class or workshop or rehearsal and somebody brings up some great play to make a point or draw a comparison. If you’re familiar with the great plays (not all of them, just the ones that come up again and again), you’re ready to join the conversation.
