SCENE NIGHTS
What: Our monthly program for new play development
Who: Open to all playwrights, $10 for Play Cafe members, $15 for non-members; we supply the services of 2 professional actors and a qualified facilitator
How: Bring up to 10 pages of properly-formatted script, with the major roles assigned to the actors, double-casting and using playwrights in attendance to help read other parts and stage directions.
Why: To hear how work-in-progress plays when read unrehearsed by professional actors, and to get feedback on how your play plays
When: every second Thursday of the month from 7pm-10pm; sign-up starts at 6:30; playwrights are accommodated on a first-come-first-read basis

What: Our twice-yearly program for musicals-in progress
Who: Open to solo or creative artists with at least one member of working on a new musical

What: Non-public readings of full-length plays by Play Cafe members
Who: Open to Play Cafe members; we supply the services of up to 4 professional actors and a professional dramaturg
How: Add your name to our email list for notifications of calls for submission
Why: To hear how a play sounds and feels when read unrehearsed by professional actors, and to get dramaturgical feedback on how your play plays

What: 3-hour special-focus classes focusing on playwriting skills
