Using the Senses
This is the exercise Jeannie Barroga presented at the June 1998 meeting (reprinted here with permission from Jeannie).

Select an object, such as a grapefruit, the pavement or a grandfather clock. Now base a scene around the object, using two characters. But the characters can not name the object, they can only reference it in terms of the senses.
